Lord have mercy. these next 2 weeks will be very busy for me

I didnt get out of work until 11.30. That guy, howard or whatever his name is was a no call no show. Faith left around 6 leaving Tomasa and I. So i just chilled until around 9.30 before asking the manager for help so he sent 2 associates to help out. I need to buy the Dr. Scholl’s shoes i saw but first i need to try them on. Ill try them out for a day and if my feet still ache, ill just return them and deal with the pain.

Omigod, today, the car was at the shop (why does my mom always take the car there on days that we have stuff to do???!!) so i walked. instead of crossing at the intersection, i walked to the front of hooters and then u-turned. lol. by the time i got to work, i was 9 minutes late and i was sweating so much, Faith told me to go drink some cold stuff. lol.

Anyways, im getting used to the job and im glad im off today!! yay!!

I got this tutorial from spectra. it was posted by MissChievous. I will try to follow this instructions before taking my pics

1. try to take your pictures during the during indoors.  I usually take my pictures indoors in the early afternoon when it is bright outside, but I avoid direct sunlight because this can wash out the colours and cast weird shadows. A brightly lit room will do fine.

2. If you need to use flash, adjust your ISO setting as low as possible. lowest on my camera is 80. Without flash, adjust to highest ISO which is 320 on mine
- If you have a FILL-IN FLASH option, use that. It will create a less bright flash than a normal flash, and it helps to "fill in" darker areas on the subject.
- If you have shutter priority setting, usually denoted by a "Tv" symbol on the settings dial, use it! (Sometimes also an "S" symbol.) It often looks like this on the settings dial.

This adjusts how fast or slow your pictures are exposed. So for example, a setting of 1/20 means the lens is open for a 20th of a second, 1/100 means 100th of a second, 1/200 means 200th of a second. When you’re using flash, you want a SLOW shutter speed, something between the range of 1/15 to 1/45. Play around with the different shutter speed settings until you get a picture that you think accurately reflects the colours on yourself.

- Usually pictures that are "washed out" are the ones where the shutter speed is set too fast and the flash overexposes your skin tone and makeup. That, and the ISO setting is too high.

- Use a red-eye reduction function to prevent red eyes on pictures. This is usually a beam of light or a small flash before the main flash that will close your pupils.

TO SUM UP: When using flash, use a low ISO setting and a slow shutter speed.

So, if you don’t use flash, make sure your face is getting hit by enough light (maybe stand next to a window) and use a faster shutter speed to avoid camera-shake. This is what makes pictures a bit blurry! Flash often prevents blurriness as long as you are holding the camera calmly.

3. Take your pictures against a calm background. Against a wall without any busy patterns or stuff in the back is best. A white wall works excellent for this. This puts the focus on YOU and doesn’t distract the viewer’s eye by checking out things behind you, like bathroom cabinets, etc.

4. Tips for using the macro setting on your camera for close-ups.

- This is what the macro setting usually looks like on your settings dial:

- Use this setting when you want to take a very up-close picture of your eyes or lips, for example. The macro setting is a way to tell your camera to adjust the focus to a very up close subject, and your camera’s automatic focus should be able to get it right. To take a good macro pic, you usually need adequate light settings and it may be hard to get a good focus in dim light. So again, daylight is usually best, in a well-lit room.

5. Tips for White Balance.

This setting is usually found in the menu of your camera, it looks something like this:

This adjusts the colours on your picture and helps to prevent the yellow-ish tinge a lot of indoor pictures have. You can either select Automatic white balance which is usually the most practical, or you can select the different programs depending on the light condition, like Cloudy, Sunny, Tungsten, Halogen, etc. Play around and see what looks best and the most natural. You can also do Custom White Balance where you take a picture of something pure white in the propper light conditions and set that as your white balance, but I don’t recommend this for most people as you have to set it for every shot you take and it can be hard to master.

6. Center-weighted evaluation (this can be done by pressing the left arrow button on MY camera)

This option tells your camera to focus on subjects that are in the middle of the viewfinder, instead of random objects that the camera selects. The camera will automatically focus on things that are in the center. If you want to focus on something that is on the side of a frame, click the exposure button half-way to focus on the subject, and – continuing to hold the button – move the camera so the subject is where you want it to be, then press the exposure button the rest of the way. This means your subject is now on the side of the picture, but still in focus.

This is what the center-weighted icon looks like, you can usually change it on the menu screen.

Happy snapping!

I ordered samples of everyday mineral makeup. i ordered the foundation, blush and concealer. i tried the foundation in tan (matte) and i will defnitely keep it. it is very light and you need only very little. i will be buying the full size when the sample size is finished

1. close up. i dabbed on concealer over the foundation on the areas where i have dark spots. oh, btw, this is with flash with low ISO (80 to be exact)

2. with flash (smile!! :D )

3. without flash with ISO 300

im also glad that the tan fit my color perfectly. im only going to school but if i want to be serious with the make up, i will apply the foundation to my neck and bustline to even the complexion

Miscellanous 10:02 am

Plan 1:

Morning:

1. wash in the morning with black soap

2. apply toner

3. apply sunscreen

4. apply make up if needed

At night:

1. wash face with olive oil

2. apply skin biology exfol serum

http://store.skinbiology.com/catalog/index.cfm?fuseaction=product&theParentId=129&id=695

3. Apply complex 15 over the BHA

i was able to modify the regimen through help from fellow MUA’ers

since i have oily skin, i was advised to moisturise at night instead of during the day so i dont have to try to keep it matte all day. also, the moisturiser is a BHA product with no silicones since silicones can clog up stuff and even cause break outs. this is the difference between BHA and AHA

http://dermatology.about.com/cs/skincareproducts/a/bha.htm

If this regimen doesnt work, ill try plan 2 instead

Plan 2:

Morning:

1. wash in the morning with black soap

2. apply toner

3. apply moisturiser (complex 15)

4. apply sunscreen

5. apply make up if needed

At night:

1. wash face with olive oil

2. apply paula begouin’s 2% beta hydroxy lotion

plan 2 is just in case my face gets dry and needs extra moisture during the day

well, im bored, cant sleep watching tv, waiting for my nail paint to dry and browsing MUA and i found some make up tips

This is a good website that suggests how to combine different mac eyeshadows and looks

Milk of magnesia AS A MASK:

Step 1: Soak a cotton pad in Milk of Magnesia, and apply to any oily areas, as thickly as you can.

Step 2: Leave to dry for 10-15 mins.

Step 3: Rinse off with warm water and pat dry. You’ll find that all the oil as disappeared!

Milk of magnesia AS A FOUNDATION PRIMER (or used alone):

Step 1: Place a cotton pad over the bottle top and quickly tip over, so you get a small amount of Milk of Magnesia on the pad.

Step 2: Apply to oily areas (ie. forehead, nose) thinly.

Step 3: Leave it as it is, or put foundation on top. This is great for preventing oil. i will definitely try this

Well, Midas called my mom around 5 to tell her that they finally fixed the car. Everyone was excited and she went to pick it up. she took me to go see the concert and i called her to pick me up. At the junction of SR54 and lake harbin road. the car died. it would start up but wouldnt move. it was so embarassing. We had to call 911 and triple A. a cop came to push the car out of the way and into a parking lot. it was around 8.30 by then. triple A said they would get there by 9.45. but when it was 9.30, my tried to see if the car would move and it did. so we decided to drive it to the parking lot of midas so they’ll see the work they had done the next morning. since it was too far to walk home, we took the bus. we had to wait till 10.12 before the bus came. Today was fucked up just like my past recent days have been. I was going to tell Joe but my said i shouldnt and i didnt. it makes sense not to tell him because even though he’s my bf, i dont have to let him know ALL my problems.

i guess its back to not having a car emoticon

They still havent fixed the car. both cars. they ones fixing the saturn have to look for a car to take the transmissin and engine from while the ones fixing the sierra still dont know why its not starting. this is really depressing. School is 45 minutes away. I couldnt go on tuesday because of this and had to call the instructor to let him know and to reschedule my test to thursday. so i have to go to tomorrow to take the test. mom and i will be leaving the house like 2 hours early, take the express bus and then take the train downtown that will take us to the school. this is really frustrating but what can we do? i even prayed but i guess our prayers aren’t being answered. i have to go to the concert on friday for the humanities class so ill take the bus. work starts for me on momnday so ill walk. who knows how long we’ll be walking for?

dad will be sending money for the cars but whats the point since they cant even fix both cars?

i just finished the humanities test number 3 and i got a 70. in 2 of the answers, i was suppoed to reply with the last name only but i replied with their full names so the system automatically marked them wrong. i have sent an email to the instructor asking them if they could mark it correctly. we’ll see. with the way my luck is going this week, she’ll probably say no

1. Applying Eye Makeup
a) Eye Shadow

Prime your eyes with your concealer or your Foundation. You can do this by dotting the eye lid with your Brush. Pat it into the eyelid and then gently blend it into the entire eyelid. Now you are ready to apply the eye shadows.

To apply your eye shadow, start with a medium shade eye shadow and apply from the outer portion of your eye to the crease of your eye.

Apply a darker eye shadow color in the crease of your eye and blend up toward your brow bone.

You can then take a light eye shadow (we suggest the lightest, most natural shades) under the brow itself to make the eye seem larger and give your eyes a lift as well as contouring the brow bone.

b. Your brows frame your eyes and are one of the most expressive features on your face, so don’t forget to groom them. Tweeze, brush, and shape them regularly. For application choose an eye shade that is similar to your hair and lightly brush in your sparse areas. You can also correct the brow shape during application process.

c) Mascara

From a makeup artists point of view, don’t go from under the eye lash out, but actually place the wand on the top of the lash and move outward in a curling motion. Make sure to apply to your bottom lash as well. Tilt head forward and apply sparingly to the lower lashes.

2. Concealer

Using your Brush, gently dab your concealer with soft repetition on any imperfection or blemish you wish to make disappear. Less is more, so don’t cake it on. For the most beautiful and natural effect, apply your concealer in thin, light layers.

There is no need to blend the concealer into your skin, because when you buff your Foundation over your Concealer it will blend flawlessly. Remember that the rule is to apply concealer under powder foundation and over liquid foundation. the thing is to try either under and over to see which you prefer

3. Foundation

Using circular motions, buff your  Foundation on your entire face with your foundation Brush. To achieve the desired natural flawless look, make sure you buff in gently and use thin layers.

Beauty Tip If your mineral foundation is too light or too dark, simply blend your foundations to create your own custom colors!

Foundation that is too light for your skin will appear chalky. If you find this to be the case, simply blend it with a darker shade of mineral foundation until you have the correct shade.

Foundation that is too dark will bring out and accentuate fine lines. If you find this to the case, simply blend with a lighter shade of foundation to achieve the perfect complexion.

Bring the mineral foundation into your hairline to achieve a natural healthy look. Last thing you want is to look like you have a mask on.

Keep in mind that a little mineral foundation goes a long way. It takes very little to acheive the full coverage and natural look you want.

Check closely in the mirror to see if you have applied the right amount of foundation. If you’ve applied too little, simply reapply another thin layer. If you’ve applied too much, use your Everyday Minerals Finishing Brush to remove the excess.

Apply your Flawless Mineral Foundation to your neck and décolleté. On your neck use long upward strokes toward your face. On your décolleté it is okay to use circular motions. This is important because you want your mineral foundation to blend together and look natural. Buffing your mineral powder makeup from your face through your neck gives that smooth transition and flawless finish that completes your look.

Your Everyday Minerals makeup, especially your mineral foundation, helps protect your skin against UV rays and airborne pollutants.

4. Apply Your Bronzer
For a natural sun-kissed look, buff the mineral Bronzer over your forehead, nose and cheeks where the sun normally hits your face.

You can also dust the Bronzer over your entire face for a complexion that warms up a room.

5. Face color

Once you’ve applied your mineral foundation, you are ready to apply your all over face color. With a lighter coverage than foundation, face color boosts your complexion with a transparent shimmer and radiance.

Using your Kabuki Brush, apply a very light dusting of the face color of your choice over your face.

Applying face color is basically the same as mineral foundation just remember that you only need a very light dusting.

6. Apply Your Blush

Blush should be applied to about an inch from the apple of your cheek an upward motion blending it before your ear. Make sure you apply a subtle amount to obtain that natural healthy look. Don’t smear it on, gently take your Powder Brush.

Colors that work best for your cheeks as a traditional blush are rosy colors or an enhanced brown. These colors bring out a more natural look and bring out a healthy radiance to your skin.

Blush gives the appearance of an uplifted cheek because of the upward sweeping motion – sort of like an instant facelift that naturally brings out your joy, matching all the shades of your mood and look!

7. Apply Your Lip Color and Lip Gloss
Lip Color

With your favorite Lip Color simply take your finger and apply a smooth layer on your top and bottom lip. When your lip color is applied evenly you are ready for your lip gloss.

Lip Gloss
It is so easy to apply too! Just take your lip gloss wand and apply over your lips to your desired effect.

8. Apply Your Finishing Dust

With a light dusting over your face, your Finishing Dust gives your Flawless Foundation great staying power as well as oil control. Completely transparent it gives you that 100% all natural healthy finish.

After applying to your T-Zone (your forehead, cheeks and nose) brush off excess with your.

and thats it!!

Well, im up and studying for the banking and finance test. i took my HUM midterm and i got a 78 :( im currently listening to james blunt. this guy has some touching lyrics makes me want to listen to DC right after him. I cant wait for his next album

"Goodbye My Lover"

Did I disappoint you or let you down?
Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?
‘Cause I saw the end before we’d begun,
Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won.
So I took what’s mine by eternal right.
Took your soul out into the night.
It may be over but it won’t stop there,
I am here for you if you’d only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I’ve kissed your lips and held your hand.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I’ve been addicted to you.

I am a dreamer and when i wake,
You can’t break my spirit – it’s my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I’ve seen you cry, I’ve seen you smile.
I’ve watched you sleeping for a while.
I’d be the father of your child.
I’d spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We’ve had our doubts but now we’re fine,
And I love you, I swear that’s true.
I cannot live without you.

And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I’m asleep.
And I will bare my soul in time,
When I’m kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I’m so hollow, baby, I’m so hollow.

Now this one is also beautiful…..this guy reminds me of Jason. That guy is so emo but too emo. mushy mushy is not what i want in a man

 "Cry"

I have seen peace. I have seen pain,
Resting on the shoulders of your name.
Do you see the truth through all their lies?
Do you see the world through troubled eyes?
And if you want to talk about it anymore,
Lie here on the floor and cry on my shoulder,
I’m a friend.

I have seen birth. I have seen death.
Lived to see a lover’s final breath.
Do you see my guilt? Should I feel fright?
Is the fire of hesitation burning bright?
And if you want to talk about it once again,
On you I depend. I’ll cry on your shoulder.
You’re a friend.

You and I have lived through many things.
I’ll hold on to your heart.
I wouldn’t cry for anything,
But don’t go tearing your life apart.

I have seen fear. I have seen faith.
Seen the look of anger on your face.
And if you want to talk about what will be,
Come and sit with me, and cry on my shoulder,
I’m a friend.
And if you want to talk about it anymore,
Lie here on the floor and cry on my shoulder,
Once again.
Cry on my shoulder,
I’m a friend

This sounds like something i would say to a close friend or what a close friend would say to me when im down.

being in a relationship is getting old. i wanted to call joe earlier today but im like umm no. there’s no need to. isnt this normal when it comes to all relationships? and this is the time when one can tell if the relationship will be ending in the nearest future or will flourish.

I dont know what i want and i dont care. It’s not my bf’s fault and neither is it mine. I think it has to do with the less time we spend together. for me, out of sight has always been a good thing normally cos when i see the person, i become happy.

This time, out of sight is out of mind. I have not evaluated this yet so i dont know the exact things that are making me feel this way. God forbid i get a phone call from an old flame because i know i will pick up the call and will never look back.

When it comes to the chemistry, well we havent had sex in a while and im not itching to….............

I dont know if this is a phase or the beginning of the end of our relationship.

we’ll see; wont we?
