Well, im doing my own research because i dont want to make the same mistake i made by just getting on depo without looking into it. Someone that was on depo and also bled a lot metioned that alesse help reduce the bleeding and spotting so im looking into that. This website is very helpful:
http://www.wdxcyber.com/ncontr13.htm
so far, here are the side effects of alesse –
depression, moodiness or irritability, headaches, breast soreness and weight gain (im very worried about this)
Another one im looking at is YAZ. This BCP is also used to treat PMS which is a good thing. These are the side effects:
·nausea and vomiting;
·breast tenderness or enlargement, enlargement of uterine fibroids;
·swelling of your hands or feet;
·darkened skin, especially on your face;
·changes in your menstrual periods;
·headache, migraine, dizziness, or fainting;
·problems with contact lenses;
·vaginal yeast infections
·depression.
Im also looking at IUDS. Specifically the one with hormones (mirena). the side effects are:
•breakthrough bleeding, spotting, or irregular menstrual cycle
•cramping, dizziness, or faintness while the device is inserted
I got my period at the end of september and it didnt stop until maybe 2 days ago? Im used to this…this is what depo does and this isnt the first time it has happened. But im tired of this. Im trying to get an appointment with the doctor to get a pap smear. The thing is, its not advisable to do a pap smear while on the period (im not even sure if i wont start bleeding again) and i think they have to do it before one get get on BC?
Anyway, im going to talk to the doctor about it and see if they can start me with a BC method that will help reduce the bleeding. Im trying to stay calm about this and idont want to freak out. Im anemic and i think ive waited too long before going to the doctor.
I also hope the depo hasnt damaged anything yet. its the fucking devil
